I’m Traci.
And I love the magic of story. Don’t you?
The way reading can transport you into another world. Into another person’s experiences. Another person’s body.
All through language.
I started writing decades ago. Notebook. Pen. Prompts.
I loved the process. Found magic in discovery, in words. And, I believed, if I wrote long enough, if I filled enough notebooks, stories and poems would magically pour out of me and publishers would come knocking down my door.
I don’t have to tell you this didn’t happen, do I?
But I do need to tell you, I embarked on another journey at the same time.
I studied yoga. Practiced yoga. And became a yoga teacher.
I didn’t expect the yoga to inform my writing, but of course it did.
Because I was thinking about the body all the time.
I was thinking about patterns held in the body.
The emotion.
The kernels of truths.
The depths.
And more than thinking about the body, I was feeling my body. Moving it. Relating to it as a portal into some of life’s greatest mysteries.
Then–when I (finally) found mentors and completed an MFA program–I understood that the craft of writing was as layered and nuanced as the body.
So, I asked myself: What if I combined my knowledge of the two?
Answer: My magical writing powers amplified.

Although the whole Intensive helps you integrate the learning material, the integration sessions focus on taking the material to the next level.

When are the live group coaching sessions?
Calls are Tuesdays at 4 pm PT beginning November 7. They run most every week, with some exceptions (like holidays!), for a total of 23 live calls. Bonus workshops will be scheduled for different times.
Note that all recordings will be available for replay with your lifetime access to the course material.
Do I have to be working on a particular project to join the Embodied Story Intensive?
Absolutely not. You may join and work with improving your writing skills, plus tapping into how to write with the body.
Do you work with fiction writers only? Or are memoir writers welcome?
I work with both fiction and memoir writers. I offer ways to work the lessons into both fiction and memoir, while distinguishing between the two.
Why is the program so long?
It took me years (decades) to build my skills as a writer, and I’ve distilled the essentials that lifted my writing from pretty good to excellent into this course. Taking six months to integrate these important lessons into your life will save you time in the long run.
Is there a refund for the program?
Because the Embodied Story Intensive is a small cohort program, I cannot offer a full refund once the program has gotten underway.
